Coventry

The ancient city of Coventry has been deemed worthy of three cathedrals – one ransacked under the auspices of Henry VIII, one destroyed through bombing in 1940, and their modern replacement. Indeed, much of the city was bomb-damaged during the Second World War, leading to a certain loss of historical charm and character. Nevertheless, the modern city provides visitors and locals alike with many quality leisure and entertainment facilities – the Belgrade Theatre, Colosseum music venue and an Arts Centre to name but three.
