Lincoln

The city of Lincoln is dominated by its ancient castle and cathedral, originally erected in the eleventh century. The castle was built for William the Conqueror, and has on display an original Magna Carta. The cathedral is graced by three towers and is architecturally quite stunning. Lincoln is also home to the Incredibly Fantastic Old Toy Show, the Royal Lincolnshire Regiment Museum based in former barracks, and The Lawn, an attraction housing interactive history and architecture exhibits, an aquarium and glasshouse, all based in the grounds of a former mental institution.
