Newcastle
Newcastle is not a conventionally pretty city but has a vibrant air about it. It’s easy to get around with its speedy metro system. It has a multitude of excellent museums of which a majority are free to enter. The most spectacular parts of the city are magically close together above the river Tyne, the three great bridges.
