Guide to the UK
The beating industrial heart of pastoral Cheshire, Warrington has not always been the most inviting of destinations. However, in recent years the town has literally cleaned up its act, and lays claim to around 800 hectares of parkland and open space. Warrington makes an excellent base from which to explore Cheshire’s rolling countryside and the Pennine Hills. The local arts scene thrives, supported by the Pyramid Arts Centre and the Parr Hall theatre. The town’s museum contains a dinosaur and several ancient Egyptian artefacts.
