Dundee

Lying on the banks of the River Tay and dominated by the extinct volcano of Dundee Law, the city of Dundee contains an abundance of historic sites. Amongst these is the Old Steeple, a four storey mediaeval tower which commands panoramic views over the city and river estuary. Dundee also contains four Castles and is home to Britain’s oldest floating warship, the Frigate Unicorn. Scotland’s fourth city retains a green and open outlook due in no small part to its 59 parks. The largest of these, Camperdown, holds a wildlife centre and the lovely Camperdown House. Additionally, of course, the area is rich in golf courses – three within the city limits, more than a hundred in the surrounding area, and just twenty minutes from both St. Andrews and Carnoustie.
