Worthy of mention in the Domesday Book, the market town of Yeovil is now known for its proximity to the Westland helicopter plant. There are plenty of outdoor activities on offer for the more adventurous visitor such as swimming, fishing, golf and walks. The Fleet Air Arm museum and Haynes motor museum provide ample indoor edification and entertainment for those of a mechanical bent.
