Bracknell

Bracknell is a modern Berkshire town, whose ‘solid’ links with the past consist of three seventeenth century public houses and an eighteenth century mansion which now houses the South Hill Park Arts Centre. The rest of old Bracknell disappeared in the 1950’s as the New Town was constructed. The town now delights visitors with its fountains, most notably in the shape of the reliable (if a little vague) fountain clock, and a remarkable floating, spinning granite ball, both located in the town centre. Nearby is situated the Lookout Discovery Centre, a science and nature based experience set within 2600 acres of managed woodland.
