Salisbury
One of Britain’s oldest horse-racing venues is situated in Salisbury, which lies within the ancient county of Wiltshire. The city can also lay claim to an exceptional example of mediaeval architecture in the form of its Cathedral, which houses the tallest church spire in the country. The ancient and venerable site of Stonehenge lies close by, on Salisbury Plain.
