Southampton

Southampton currently enjoys the position of being Britain’s largest port, from which both the Mayflower and the titanic set sail on their momentous voyages. Unfortunately, most of the city’s historic features were reduced to rubble through bombing during the Second World War, and were necessarily replaced in the main by functional, somewhat charmless buildings.
