One of a raft of ‘new towns’ built post world war two, the old heart of Stevenage retains a degree of old world charm. Its main entertainment feature is Stevenage Leisure Park, which contains a cinema and ten-pin bowling facility. Nearby lies Knebworth House and Gardens, a stately home whose grounds are occasionally graced with concerts by such musical notables as Oasis and Robbie Williams.
